Moody Cow Dessert Cafe is widely recognized for its unique and generous cake portions, often praised for inventive flavors such as Sambal Hebi Salted Egg, cempedak, and durian. The cafe's ambiance attracts attention with its lush greenery, terrariums, and an old-fashioned European charm that offers a distinctive dining experience reminiscent of a Victorian setting. While many appreciate the creativity and atmosphere, feedback on taste varies, with some finding certain cakes average or overly dense. Prices are considered on the higher side but generally accepted given the environment and presentation. Like this cafe. The staffs are friendly. Beautifully decorated with an old-fashioned European charm. Tried out the unique flavor Sambal Hebi Salted Egg cake, surprisingly tasted good.

The cake here slices are huge!! Very unique taste. Tried their TWG Tea Oolong Tea cheesecake, refreshing, top with orange cheese flavour, bottom with Oolong tea flavour though is not very strong tea taste with a bit of bitterness with some longan in it which is indeed unique. We 2 person couldn't finish it, need to take away the remainings. The environment is full with greenery especially the entrance area. We visited the place around 2pm, very little crowd, we could enjoy the place and take our time to take photos.

What stood out the most was the plants and terrariums in the cafe, I felt like entering into another world. The dining area was even cooler, like old Victorian expensive house dining experience. Big serving of cakes with many flavors. Had to share the durian cake, tasty and big.

It was a strange feeling I got in there. I didn't know there was a cafe, the building was hiding in trees and bushes. I tried cempedak cake, that was so good, I love cempedak. But of course, the price was expensive. But okay because I was dine-in and the atmosphere was very good. It was like classic, monalisa painting, yeah kinda mixed feeling there.

Their cakes were super hugeeeee, but the taste was so so, maybe should’ve tried their signature flavours. The cream cheese was super dense and thick. The ambience and decor were quite random, left the place feeling confused haha. Interesting experience though.

Cheese cake is good, very rich. Price is on the upscale but the size is much bigger than those ordinary cheese cake size.

This is the original super thick cheesecake Cafe in Penang. I have been here a number of times and today is my 3rd time here, The cafe boasts lush greenery with posts of plants, and huge cakes on display. I've seen 2 of the boss's guinea pig and was sad to hear that the 2nd guinea pig had passed away and was buried in one of the flower pot outside the Cafe. Their cheese cakes are super huge and super cheesy and creamy!
